Columbia Community Outreach Community Service Day
Glide Memorial Church
April 12, 2009
11:30am – 2:30pm

Join us for a day of giving back to our community while getting to know fellow Columbia alumni!

Please join the Columbia Alumni Club of Northern California for a community service project! This event is being planned in conjunction with the thirteenth annual Columbia Community Outreach (CCO) program, which unites Columbians in a day of service to local communities.

The Columbia Alumni Association (CAA) and its alumni clubs around the world participate in CCO by organizing volunteer efforts in their local communities every spring. This year, we want to redouble our efforts in answer to the rallying cry of President Barack Obama’83CC, who promoted civic service at the recent ServiceNation Presidential forum at Columbia.

The Columbia Alumni Club of Northern California has planned a community service project at Glide Memorial Church in San Francisco. Glide is a diverse, cutting-edge church and nonprofit offering innovative programs to the poor. For the past 35 years Glide has provided services to the most marginalized population in the San Francisco Bay Area through its meals program, community health clinic, licensed childcare and an array of other support services.

Glide is the only program in town that provides three nutritious meals to the city’s poor, homeless and hungry every single day of the year. Our group will be serving food, bagging lunches, etc.

Friends, family members, etc are also welcome to join! Please RSVP as soon as possible.

Glide Memorial Church
330 Ellis Street
