Hitchcock's Vertigo and Lynch's Mullholland Drive both come to mind when watching director Monte Hellman's first feature film in two decades. However, the romantic noir inset within another noir has a distinct perspective on digital art and truth. Mitchell Haven, a director making a true crime film, casts a doppelganger for femme fatale Velma Duran (Shannyn Sossamon). When Mitchell falls for Velma's doppelganger, he becomes entangled in a complex web of intrigue, passion and danger that straddles "fact" and "fiction".
We are meeting at 8:30pm so that we can get great seats. The film starts at 9:15pm.
