Arrow Lecture: Jeffrey Sachs (Director of The Earth Institute, Columbia University)

This event is hosted by Stanford University. Jeffrey Sachs is the Director of The Earth Institute, Quetelet Professor of Sustainable Development, and Professor of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University. He is also Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. From 2002 to 2006, he was Director of the UN Millennium Project and Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan on the Millennium Development Goals, the internationally agreed goals to reduce extreme poverty, disease, and hunger by the year 2015. Sachs is also President and Co-Founder of Millennium Promise Alliance, a nonprofit organization aimed at ending extreme global poverty.

This event is free and open to the public; however, tickets must by reserved.




Price: Free

Tickets can be picked up at the Stanford Ticket Office in Tresidder. For those without a Stanford ID, you can either pick up your tickets at the Ticket Office or you can reserve your tickets over the phone (650-725-2787).

The Ticket Office is open 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, and 12 noon through 4 pm on Saturday.
